Hims & Hers CEO Andrew Dudum joined in an interview with journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin and shares his perspective on how AI can transform healthcare.

Dudum is very supportive of Artificial Intelligence. He’s willing to make it work using AI. Dudum will maximize his opportunities, and his goal is to improve people’s lives through his products.

“On the consumer side, if you start a medicine today because you’re at risk of heart disease, 12 months later, only 10 or 15 percent of these patients are still taking that medicine,” Dudum said.

Dubum thinks that patients or consumers can use different scales at home. People can have blood tests at home.

“We acquired an at-home blood testing company last year,” Dubum said. “You click a button, a little tube of blood comes out, and you ship it back to our lab. It costs something like 30 dollars. You could have wearable devices that are tracking your sleep and glucose.”

Health is very critical. Without health, we can’t do anything. There are a lot of human beings that depend on specific drugs, machines, or any medication they can get their hands on. The cost of healthcare is steep. Many people can’t afford to pay their medical bills and prescription pills.

One thing people must consider is eating and drinking natural foods. The problem is that not too many people like to do their own research. Doing your own research can go a long way. The healthcare system has been a rollercoaster in many people’s eyes, and they have shared their concerns and criticism.

“The healthcare system has always been incredibly paternalistic,” Dudum said. “With Hims and Hers, you have price transparency. You have choice; you can have a conversation and choose what is right for you. Bringing that together is going to be necessary because ultimately a care team looking after you, a concierge’s medicine experience that’s looking after everybody in the world.”
