By Miguel Mike Medina

Fefita La Grande and Sergio Vargas will headline at United Palace on Saturday, September 20, at 8 p.m. ET.

Two of the most successful Merengue artists from the Dominican Republic. Fefita has had a long career in the Merengue Tipico/Perico Ripiao genre. Her longevity has been sensational. She hasn’t missed a beat or step. She’s best known for her charismatic personality and playing the accordion.

La Grande has many big hits, including “La Chiflera,” “Vamos Hablar Ingles,” Te Menea O Te Apea,” and many more.

Vargas has been a great singer since the 1980s, when he started with “Los Hijos Del Rey.” When he broke out as a solo artist in 1987, the world fell in love with him, especially when he released unforgettable hits such as “Vamos A Dejarlo Todo Atras,” “Todo Aquello Que Escribi,” “Si Algun Un Dia,” and many more.

Their peers and fans highly revere the trajectory of these two artists. From a population standpoint, New York has the most Dominicans in the United States, followed by New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

The United Palace is known for many events that celebrate Dominican artists. For many years, concerts have been held there. Other artists have performed there, such as Toño Rosario, Fernando Villalona, and many more.

Fefita and Sergio will bring a lot of nostalgia to United Palace as the crowd will be singing and cheering to their songs.
