Entourage has been impacting television for eight years and is one of the most exciting and entertaining shows of the 2000s. Three days ago, the comedy-drama hit series’ debut on HBO celebrated its 21st anniversary.
A group of characters with tremendous on-screen chemistry led by Kevin Connelly, Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon, and Jeremy Piven. Doug Ellin is a genius for creating an outstanding show.
Entourage is one of those TV shows that you would love to rewatch. You don’t need to be in a certain mood to watch Entourage. Ari Gold, played by Poven, and Johnny ‘Drama’ Chase, played by Dillon, are two of the series’s most energized and humorous characters.
Dillon’s performance as an aspiring and dedicated actor in the show earned him three Primetime Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe award. Piven would join the party and won a Golden Globe and three consecutive Emmys.
There were many memorable and great episodes during the show’s eight-year run. Some of the best Entourage episodes are “Welcome to the Jungle,” “One Day in the Valley,” “Vegas Baby, Vegas!,” “Sorry, Ari,” “First Class Jerk,” and “Three’s Company.”!
The popularity of Entourage was so big that they made a movie, which came out in 2015. The movie was solid, but the show was much better. It might not sound or seem fair. That’s just the way it is sometimes. It’s the same thing that a book can be better than the movie itself. It all depends on the writing and all the elements behind it.
Entourage not only brought laughs and excitement to people’s homes but also motivated some young actors to pursue acting as a career. It was a very influential show during its peak. Will we ever see another show that tries to duplicate what Entourage did? There’s a possibility. In Hollywood, it’s always going to be a cycle. Somewhere out there, a showrunner will want to create a show similar to or close to what Entourage accomplished.
