Samantha Bee Speaks Out About The Late Show Cancellation
The Canadian-American comedy writer, actress, and television host Samantha Bee shared her thoughts about CBS cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Bee thinks that the decision behind it was a “no-brainer,” especially after the merger between Paramount and Skydance.
The move didn’t surprise her. The Late Show was becoming too political and played as one of the contributing factors for the demise of the show. Viewers have grown tired of many of these Late Night Show hosts bashing the president or adding too much politics to their shows.
Bee made an appearance on the Breaking Bread with Tom Papapodcast, where she shared her thoughts on Colbert’s show being cancelled. She believes that viewers are more interested in watching shows that offer more excitement or drama.
“People just absolutely murder each other in a South Korean game show,” or “watching people fall off cliffs to relax at night before nodding off,” Bee said. “It is also true that when the president of the United States has to give his sign-off on a corporate merger, the thing you can’t do is make jokes about him. He’s a thin-skinned idiot, and we know he’s like a pernicious cancer, and he cares about that stuff.”
A new Thriller Movie Set in Italy
Bunny-Man is a new thriller movie set in Italy starring Oscar-nominated Italian star Giancarlo Giannini and Tatiana Luter. The movie is currently being filmed in Rome. Andrea Iervolino is the leading producer of the movie. We’re not sure who will sit in the director’s chair yet.
The movie is about a character named Judge Gladwell and his wife, who are integral to the plot of the thriller, and the story centers around the double life of a multimillionaire hip-hop artist known as Bunny-Man (his stage name), whose fame and public persona mask a web of pain, revenge, and private justice.
Everything seems to be going well for the Bunny-Man until he experiences the tragic suicide death of his sisters. In this movie, you will also see appearances by James Franco, Bella Thorne, Mike Tyson, Debora Nascimento, Meredith Mickelson, and Lexi Coons. It’s an intriguing cast.
