Why Bret Hart Still Resents Triple H and The Kliq

By Miguel Mike Medina

Former wrestler and Hall of Famer Bret Hart still despises Triple H to this day. In a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, Hart spoke about his problems with Triple H and Shawn Michaels that go back to the 1997 Montreal Screwjob.

Hart still holds grudges and feels resentment about the way he was screwed over and treated by the Montreal Screwjob. Triple H, Michaels and Vince McMahon were all in on the plan on what was going to happen at the end of the match. The ending of the match concluded with Michaels putting Hart in a sharpshooter, which Hart didn’t tap out, but McMahon rang the bell to give the WWF title win to Michaels.

Hart didn’t like any of The Kiiq’s members. He felt that they were doing business for themselves and cared about themselves. Hart thought that he had to protect guys like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin from being screwed by The Kliq. Hart doesn’t believe that Triple H earned anything in the business and took shots at him for saying that he “married the boss’s daughter.”

“I’m not sure where I stand with Triple H,” Hart said. “I know that I never rated him. I just never thought he was any good. Everything he’s done, everything he’s created, it’s all stuff that he wrote out for himself. I wish I could have sat back in 1992 and said “Well, this is what I’m going to do for the next 10 years. I’m going to win every title, and I’m going to be champion 55 times or 500 times.”

Hart thinks that Teiole H is a phony and he wishes that Triole H was in the dressing room where he knocked Vince McMahon out after Screwjob event. It’s been almost 30 years, and Hart might never respect Triole H.

Hart is a seven-time world champion, 1994 Royal Rumble winner, and two-time King of the Ring winner. He’s part of the Hart Foundation and a proud Canadian.
