Louisville Cardinals (9-4) defeated Toledo Rockets (8-5) to win the 2025 Boca Raton Bowl on Tuesday.

Quarterback Miller Moss threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns. It was Moss’s final collegiate start. Running back Keyjuan Brown led the team in rushing with 112 yards on 15 carries. Wide receiver TreShun Hurry scored the first touchdown for the Cardinals. He finished with 28 yards on three receptions. Caullin Lacy led the Cardinals’ receivers with 8& yards and six receptions.

Toledo’s quarterback Kalieb Osbourne completed 17 of 28 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. Running back Chip Trayanum rushed for 65 yards on 16 carries and had one touchdown. Wide receiver Jacob Peterson scored a touchdown for Toledo.

The first three quarters didn’t serve much excitement. Both teams made mistakes and missed opportunities. Things got better in the fourth quarter. Toledo and Louisville combined for 32 points. Toledo scored 19 of their 22 points in the quarter.

The Cardinals hang on to win the game. Much credit and respect to the Rockets for fighting back in the game. If there had been an extra quarter, it might’ve been a different outcome.

As for the Cardinals, their running game was vital. Special teams were a factor as well. Louisville is now 6-3 against Toledo.

The Rockets had 14 penalties. Both teams struggled on third-down plays. Louisville went 1 for 9. Toledo went 4 for 13.

Cardinals head coach Jeff Brohm made his 9th bowl game appearance. He improves his bowl record to 7-2.
