Ron Baron Reveals SpaceX IPO Insights

By Miguel Mike Medina

Ron Baron is one of SpaceX’s early investors. Baron believes in the company and has their full support. SpaceX IPO is coming soon. Baron discusses the upcoming IPO and his relationship with Elon Musk.

“We’ve invested in Tesla and met Musk in 2010 in an IPO,” Baron said. “It took me four years to become convinced that he was going to be successful. I thought he was brilliant, kept talking to him, kept visiting him. In 2014, I went to visit him again and said, ” Man, I have to invest in this now. Now is the time. Stock triples from 25 to 75. I don’t own a share; it doubles again. The pain is too great, and we invested $400 million between 2014 and 16 and made about $8 billion so far in profit.”

Baron is the founder, CEO, and Portfolio Manager of Baron Capital, founded on March 15, 1982. Since 2017, Baron has had a relationship with him again, this time with SpaceX. Baron and Musk are working very well together. Baron enjoys and admires what Musk has done with both companies.

SpaceX has been a private company for a long time.

“This is going to become the largest company on the planet,” Baron said. “I don’t know if it’s going public at 1.5 trillion or 1.75 trillion or maybe a little bit more, but where it goes public, I think that the company over the next 10 or 15 years is going to be worth 10 trillion, 20 trillion, 30 trillion.”

Let the trillion keep on coming. It will only go higher for Baron, Musk, and SpaceX. These two men have built wealth through their intelligence and diligent homework. Baron and Mysk are not “yes men.” Being disciplined and sane is key in business.
