The Ohio Bobcats were not concerned in this matchup. The team was in complete command in this game. The Bobcats (9-4) defeated the UNLV Rebels (10-4), 17-10, to capture the Scooters Coffee Frisco Bowl.

Defensive coordinator and interim head coach John Hauser led Ohio to the victory. Brian Smith was the coach, but things didn’t work out between Smith and the program.

Hauser took over this program and made sure his team was prepared for battle. Hauser deserves a lot of credit for his adjustments and leadership, especially in the second half of this game.

Bobcats quarterback Parker Navarro completed 11 of 15 passes for 143 yards with an interception.

The Bobcats played hard. Love the tenacity. Old rivalry games are always fun to watch. Although this game wasn’t as exciting as other bowl games we have seen this season, we have to admire the work ethic and effort these players put on display on the field.

Bobcats running Sieh Bangura is one of the players who deserves the game ball. He rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown.

The Bobcats continue to stay red hot during bowl season. The program seems to shine the most when the big moments are in front of them. The bowl season is a big moment for players. Ohio has won its last seven bowl games, dating back to 2017.
