There has been a lot of developing news in the business world lately. One of them concerns Walt Disney Studios posting staggering numbers in 2025.

Walt Disney Studios officially becomes the first studio to cross over $6 billion worldwide in 2025. Warner Bros Discovery is right behind them with $4.3 billion. James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash movie is one of the reasons why this accomplishment happened very soon. Any movie with Cameron behind the director’s chair is destined to make a lot of money at the box office.

Disney has been in this position before. It’s the fifth time they have reached this number. The previous years happened in 2019, 2018, 2017, and 2016. Disney waited six years for them to reach $6 billion worldwide again. Although the studio is not everyone’s favorite and has lost many supporters throughout the years due to its politics and controversial content, it remains a powerhouse film studio/streaming giant.

In other business news, we have FDA approval for Novo Nordisk. It has to do with weight loss, and for the first time, there will be a weight-loss treatment. It’s called GLP-1 oral.

What is GLP-1? What does it bring to the table? GLP-1 has been compared to other drugs like Ozempic. Many people are skeptical about taking weight-loss injections. People are thinking about potential side effects, which has caused them to have anxiety. Historically, pills are cheaper to produce. Novo has a plan to begin selling products in January 2026 for $149 per month. It’s a big commitment for anyone who wants to purchase these pills. The important thing is to do your homework first before buying it. Health is the No. 1 priority, and you have to be mindful of what you put on your body.

The last business news we have for the day is about Google. The company is betting its faith on clean energy with a $4.75 billion deal. The acquisition is huge. For the first time, a big tech company has bought a primary renewable energy provider.

How does this benefit Alphabet? It gives the company Intersect energy and data center projects in development or under construction. Google took a minority stake in the company a year ago when Intersect announced an $800 million funding round.
