Boston is one of the most fantastic and cleanest cities in the world. If you’re from New York, it would take you five hours by bus, but around three hours by car.
Boston has so many nice museums, ships, sporting venues, and multiple tourist attractions. It’s one of the best places to go during the summer.
Walk the Freedom Trail
Many people like to live below their means. Budget travelers are very disciplined. Taking a walk on the Freedom Trail might be it since it’s free. It’s one of the best free things to do in Boston. It won’t hurt your pockets.
The word “free” is everyone’s favorite term, especially when they are on a travel mission. The Freedom Trail will lead you to 16 historical sites.
Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum
In school, teachers would often mention the classic hero of the Boston Tea Party in the 18th century. Attending this destination will be a learning and fulfilling experience, especially for first-timers.
It’s better to wear comfortable clothes and shoes when you visit the ship and museum. General admission tickets are over $30. If you are willing to invest and fill your mind with historical facts, then go for it.
Catch a Game at Fenway Park
Anyone who takes a trip to Boston must catch a game in one of the classic ballparks in baseball, Fenway Park. If you’re in town from April to September, then you can’t miss it. The fans are very passionate about their team.
The outside area of Fenway Park is filled with history and tradition. If you don’t want to feel cold, then maybe start coming to Boston around Memorial Day weekend or anytime during the summer. Perhaps considering attending a Yankee/Red Sox game. It’s a fierce rivalry.
J.P. Licks
It is one of the best ice cream spots in Boston. There are many places to grab a cup of ice cream in Boston, but this one is essential. It’s located in Beacon Hill.
The place has been around since 1981. A person can also grab their coffee there. The interior and exterior of the place are beautiful and neat. The place opens at 11 am and closes at 11 pm.
There are many more places to visit in Boston. Here are some honorable mentions:
- Rose Kennedy Greenway
- Harvard University Art Museums
- New England Holocaust Museums
- See a show or game at TD Garden
- Take a Duck Tour
- Visit Cheers Pub
