Prince Jackson is the son of the late Michael Jackson and serves as one of the executive producers of his father’s biopic, Michael.
Prince stopped by the Big Boy TV platform for an interview, and he’s very well-spoken and professional in the way he carries himself. Michael would be proud of him, and definitely proud of him watching from above.
Prince is blessed to be a Jackson and is content with everything that his father accomplished in his career. The biopic is achieving massive box-office success. ‘Michael’ reached numbers $97 million domestically and $217 million globally in its first weekend of release. It’s breaking records.
“I think my father deserves to have a project at this scale and size,” Jackson said. “He is one of the most important people in modern history, if not in history. It’s such an important story, especially now, and I’m just so happy with the way the whole team brought it all together.
Prince told Big Boy that he has seen the movie 14 times now. The number isn’t a surprise because that’s his father, and he’s also one of the producers. He must watch it a couple of times to make sure the story is told correctly and that there are no cracks. Film critics can say what they want, but the family knows Michael better than anyone, and what he went through when he was alive.
Michael passed away in June 2009. It’s been years since his passing, but the legacy and music are felt forever in the hearts, minds, and souls of his fans. Prince and the Jackson family will go to great lengths to make sure his name will forever carry on.
“I think what’s the most interesting part of seeing the movie 14 times is that I never get bored with it, even though I know what’s going to happen,” Jackson said. “Every time I watched it, I noticed something new. I was there on set. I knew what we shot, and I knew the shots and the scenes, but when it came pieced all together through postproduction, I noticed more nuances.”
