Artemis II astronauts join the “Greg Kelly Reports” show on Newsmax for an interview on their journey to the moon.
The astronauts changed their whole outlook on the moon after they experienced what it is like to be there.
“The moon is like it’s always been a part of us,” Reid Wiseman said. “It’s the thing that when you were a kid growing up, and your friend was on a different continent or your brother was off at college or something. We were looking at the same moon, and now we’ve seen a part of it you don’t normally get to see. We’ve looked at 18 percent of the far side. No human eyes have ever looked down on Oriental Basis.”
There was a burning smell inside the space capsule. When stuff like that happens, it can create some nerves because anything can go wrong at any given time. Astronaut Jeremy Hansen elaborates on his thoughts on the smell.
“It kind of stops you in your tracks, and you need to start talking about this and get a second opinion, see if anyone else smells this,” Hansen said. “As soon as I opened up the door to the toilet, I asked them, and they’re like, yeah, we’re smelling that too. We just hadn’t had that signature in the capsule up until that point.”
The crew got lucky. Thankfully, the astronauts came out of that situation safe and sound.
“It was uncomfortable,” astronaut Victor Glover said. “We got the ground involved. They said they sensed this on the ground as well. So maybe they told us before, and we just didn’t remember. But it was something that had been observed on the ground in processing.”
Mission specialist Christian Koch knows the importance of the team coming out with a victory and also praised the leadership. Their lives have changed forever and will always be linked together. President Donald Trump is proud of the Artemis II crew members.
“Jeremy speaks very eloquently about how in this time we could all use something in the win column,” Koch said. “Our goal from the beginning has been for this to be a win for all humanity. Yes, we take our way of life and our way of leadership with us and all the possibilities for the benefits to come back to the countries that explore and choose to devote the resources to that.”
