Jack Draper has reached the pinnacle after defeating Holger Rune 6-2 6-2 to win his FIRST-EVER Masters 1000 title.

The 23-year-old British tennis player didn’t have an easy path to winning this tournament. He had to compete against some of the best tennis players to succeed at Indian Wells.

Draper defeated Joao Fonseca, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Carlos Alcaraz, and now Rune.

Draper is now ranked in the Top 10 and a three-time ATP Tour champion.

Jack Draper thanks his team and loved ones after beating Holger Rune to win Indian Wells

“I’d like to thank my team, back home and here,” Draper said. “My family back home, we’ve put so much work into this. You never really know when it’s your time. I lost the first round here last year, so I didn’t get to experience the tournament much. I wouldn’t have expected to be here. Thanks for the support and the love. We’ll keep going.”

Mirra Andreeva defeated Aryna Sabalenka 2-6 6-4 6-3 to win the Indian Finals. She’s the youngest Tennis player to win the tournament in 26 years.

The 17-year-old tennis player is poised, relentless, and sharp. She’s mature, athleticism and a great sense of the tennis court. This is arguably the biggest win of her career so far because Sabalenka is the No. 1 Tennis player in the world.

It’s Andreeva’s second WTA 1000 title in less than a month. She’s currently on a 12-match winning streak.

Both Sabalenka and Andreeva’s speeches were entertaining. Sabalenka joked about the runner-up’s trophy, and Andreeva thanked herself—a lot of respect and charisma between both players.
