The UNC Tar Heels sneaked into the NCAA Tournament and will face San Diego State on Tuesday night.

Many are shocked because this is a Tar Heel team that finished with a 1-12 record in Quad zone games.

Carolina and Texas survived to make it to the dance, but Indiana was left out.

The Tar Heels’ winning 8 of their last 10 games helped them get into the NCAA tournament. The committee paid attention to how they turned their season around down the stretch, and it didn’t matter if Carolina played against lousy teams. Carolina won these games decisively during their six-game winning streak.

It’s a special Sunday night for UNC fans because it looked like they wouldn’t make the NCAA Tournament Tournament. Well, they have done it. They must prove that the committee made the right choice by beating San Diego State.

St John’s Secures No. 2 Seed in the NCAA Tournament

The Red Storm got what they wanted. The committee locked the Johnnies for the No. 2 seed.

Who will they face? The No. 15 Omaha on Thursday at 9:45 pm in Providence.

The other teams that have secured No. 2 spots in the tournament are Tennessee (after losing to Florida in the SEC title game on Sunday), Michigan State, and Alabama.
