TV network and streaming services companies will constantly change. NBC Universal is facing not one but two significant changes: the restructuring of two executives and the spin-off that features cable networks like Oxygen, USA Network, E!, and Syfy.
Massive layoffs will occur as these changes unfold. Val Borehand is in his first year as SpinCo’s President of Entertainment. Under Borehand’s leadership, many of these networks or executives may be able to produce original programming for NBC and Peacock.
We must wait and see how this plays out, as many changes are coming. A lot can happen in a year. Longtime showrunner Duck Wolf has produced various true-crime content, such as Cold Justice and Deadly Waters with Captain Lee. Wolf and NBC have a long history together.
McDonald’s Numbers Have Been Declining Since 2020
The quarter results are in for McDonald’s, and it’s unsuitable for the fast-food chain restaurant. Sales fell for the second straight quarter.
The sales shrank 3.6 percent, the worst drop in their home market since the 8.7 percent during the second quarter of 2020 – the year lockdown occurred because of Covid.
Regardless of the outcome, McDonalds still has plans to open 2,200 locations and spend between 3 billion and 3.2 billion on capital expenditures.
NASA Astronauts McClain and Ayers Exit for a Spacewalk
NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers are preparing to exit a spacewalk outside the International Space Station.
The IROSAs (International Space Station Rollout Solar Arrays) will increase power generation by up to 30 percent. McClain and Ayers have plans to install a mounting bracket, and this power generation could increase the station’s total power from 160 to 215 kilowatts.
It’s McClain’s third spacewalk. As for Ayers, it’s the first one.
