The “NBA2K26” cover athletes feature Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Carmelo Anthony.

Gilgeous-Alexander is having a year to remember. He was the scoring champion, won the league MVP, and was named Finals MVP after leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a world championship. The Thunder won 68 games. Now, he is on the cover of NBA 2K26.

When you put in the work, you will see the results and opportunities open the doors for you. Gildeous-Alexander deserves it. He has come a long way, and he’s not getting started. It’s fantastic to see the superstar athlete he’s becoming right in front of our eyes.

Gildeous-Alexander averaged 32.7 points, 6.4 assists, and five rebounds per game.

Anthony was one of the most prolific scorers of his generation. During the 2012-13 season with the New York Knicks, he won the scoring title. Throughout his career, he won three gold medals, a 10x All-Star selection, and six All-NBA selections.

In addition, Anthony earned a spot on the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team. We will also see him in Springfield as he is inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Anthony getting the love and respect for NBA 2K26 is incredible.

For some people, it might find it ludicrous to add Anthony to the cover, but he accomplished a lot in his basketball career, and this is the year where he will go into the Hall of Fame and land a job at NBC for the NBA on NBC coverage for the 2025-26 season.

Anthony was drafted by the Denver Nuggets as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, which is considered one of the best draft classes of all time.

NBA 2K26 will be available on September 5 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (Steam), and Nintendo Switch.
