Rematch is considered one of the best soccer video games in 2025. Can it compete with FIFA soccer video games in the long run?
When you think about soccer video games, you mostly think of FIFA games. Rematch brings something different to the table. Sometimes, we need new blood or a new flavor on the block.
Rematch is a fast-paced, team-based game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It can be played in 3 v 3, 4 v 4, or 5 v 5, depending on your preference.
The video game hit the story on June 19, 2025. It’s gotten solid reviews by PC Gamer, who gave the game an 86 percent rating. Steam rated the game 7 out of 10 stars.
Some users who play the game have shared their complaints and criticisms. Suppository, the video game had ball tracking inconsistencies and lacked cultural representation through character customization.
It’s tough to say because not everyone has had the chance to play Rematch yet. The worst thing for those curious to play is to be their own critic and see for themselves. It might sound like a broken record, but not everyone will like the same thing. People have different tastes in video games.
For some reason, we believe that we will see more different versions of Rematch in the near future. Hopefully, the next edition of Rematch will be five or ten times better than the product in June. Let’s give them a chance to find substantial success. M
Rematch should chase great soccer video games like Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA 12. Those games are some of the greatest soccer video games of all time. Rematch’s production and creative team should study those games and take them to another level.
