Wide receiver Malachi Toney scored two touchdowns for the Hurricanes. Keelan Marion led the Hurricanes’ receivers with 7 receptions and 96 yards. Elija Lofton scored one touchdown, which was his only reception of the game for 29 yards.
The Hurricanes’ defense didn’t disappoint. They pressured and blitzed the quarterback. The secondary was sensational. Defensive back Jakobe Thomas picked up two interceptions, one of which was a pick-six. Hurricanes’ defense helped the Wolfpack to just 23 rushing yards. NC State only had 143 total yards.
The Hurricanes have five total wins this season by more than 25 points. This is the largest margin Miami has had against an ACC opponent since Duke in 2020.
The Hurricanes will play Virginia Tech on the road on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 12 p.m. EST.
