December has officially started, and that means a full month packed with new movies to keep us entertained through the holidays. From massive blockbusters to surprising reboots and character-driven dramas, there’s something for every type of movie fan. Let’s break down three films hitting theaters this month.

First up is James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash. This long-awaited next chapter brings us back to the vibrant world of Pandora, where the visual spectacle alone is enough to draw crowds. But this third entry also dives deeper emotionally. The story follows Jake and Neytiri’s family as they work through the heartbreak of losing Neteyam. Their journey leads them face-to-face with a new Na’vi tribe, the aggressive and mysterious Ash People. With returning cast members like Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Winslet, expectations are sky-high for another jaw-dropping, emotional adventure.

Switching gears, we have a fresh comedic take on the cult-classic creature film Anaconda, this time starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd. Instead of a straightforward monster remake, the story follows a group of middle-aged friends in a collective slump who decide to remake the movie that defined their youth. Things turn chaotic fast when they actually head into the jungle. With a hilarious ensemble cast backing Black and Rudd, fans can expect plenty of absurd moments, sharp one-liners, and meta humor that plays off the original film.

Lastly, there’s Marty Supreme, starring Timothée Chalamet. The film centers on a young man whose big dreams are constantly dismissed by everyone around him. His pursuit of greatness takes him on a transformative, emotional journey that pushes him to his limits. Chalamet’s recent performances have proven he can anchor big projects and deliver award-worthy depth, and this film looks no different.

These are just a few highlights from December’s lineup. Which one are you planning to watch?
