The Miami Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers 124-111 on Friday.
Six Heat players finished in double figures. The man who stole the show was Bam Adebayo.
Adebayo had the best performance of the season so far. It’s been an uphill battle for the eight-year veteran, who tried to find his way on the Heat offense system.
Adebayo finished the game with 30 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. He joins LeBron James & Eddie Jones as the only players in franchise history with a 30/10/5/5s game.
Kevin Love had an unforgettable third quarter. He had 15 points, shot 6 of 7 from the field, and 3 of 4 from downtown.
Adebayo spoke with the media after the game, saying some nice things and honoring Love for his impact on him tonight and his performance in the third quarter.
“K-Love definitely motivated me, man,” Adebayo said. “When you see somebody out there who’s been in the league in year 18, and he’s playing his role to the best of his ability. As a young player in this league, you’re grateful to see somebody like that, you know, play that way. I just grew up watching K-Love, so it’s still surreal every once in a while when you know I grew up watching them, and you know he’s my teammate now. You have no choice but to go when he feels that energy in you.”
Heat and Pacers will meet again on Sunday at 5 pm EST.
