The Australian Open Charity Match featured various matchups, including Jannik Sinner vs. Stefani’s Tsitsipas and Carlos Alcaraz vs. Alexej Popyrin on Friday in Melbourne.
Before his match against Tsitsipas, Sinner avoided any potential online conflict between him and Kyrgios. When the media asked him about the tweet, Sinner refused to go into detail and did not play with fire.
“I don’t think I have to answer this, honestly,” Sinner said. “In my mind, I know exactly what happened, and that’s how I block it. I haven’t done anything wrong.”
Jannik Sinner’s doping case will be heard behind closed doors at the Court of Arbitration starting April 16.
As for his match against Tsitsipas, he looked like he always looked – playing like the great Tennis player he is.
Sinner won the first set 6-3. He was poised and looked comfortable. Tsitsipas played much better in the second set and had Sinner some serious competition. The second set finished with Sinner getting the match point. Sinner won the second set 7-6.

Alcaraz vs Popyrin
Alcaraz came into this match with a brand-new look. He got a haircut to start the season, and his game looked terrific today.
Alcaraz’s shots were very smooth in the first set between Alcaraz and Popyrin. He won the first set by a score of 6-3.
Alcaraz also won the second set 6-4. Alcaraz played well overall. Both men gave great performances, which made it an exciting match. Alcaraz still needs to work on his serving, but his quickness, attention to detail, and execution are impeccable.
