Christopher Bell repeats for the second weekend in a row. Bell won the NASCAR Cup Series EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas.
The race’s conclusion was great—better than last week’s. I have much respect for the drivers. The final five laps were entertaining and competitive.
It’s Bell’s 11 career win, his third career road course victory. The No. 20 continues to ride high this season, and he’s on a mission to be the best in 2025. Bell is laser-focused and determined.
“I’m super proud for everyone on this Dewalt number 20 team,” Bell said. “We didn’t count last week. Last week was a speedway. We didn’t have that one circled, but we had this one circled, and I’m ready to keep adding to it.”
William Byron finished second. Tyler Reddick is third. Kyle Busch came close to winning the race but finished fourth. The silver lining is that Busch is back in the top five. Busch led 42 laps on the day.
“Hate it for all the guys and everybody with rowdy nation and RCR,” Busch said after the race. “We got the grit. We’re welcome and going to outwork anybody there is to work. So, guys did a phenomenal job with the race car we brought to the race track unloading, just not how I wanted it.”
Through lap 50 of 95, there were two cautions for seven laps and 11 lead changes, and Michael McDowell was the race leader then. There was also a caution in lap 51 when Daniel Suarez got his car spun.
In lap 55 of 95, AJ Allmendinger was leading the race. I’m lap 83 of 95, and William Byron took the lead.
Bubba Wallace won Stage One. Ryan Preece won Stage Two. It was Preece’s second career stage win.
