Washington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews is one of their best prospects. He’s a five-tool player with the potential to be great.

Could he win NL Rookie of the Year in 2025?

The 23-year-old out of LSU debuted in August with the Nationals. He’s entering his first full season with the ballclub and looking to contribute immediately. Crews was the second overall draft pick in the 2023 MLB Draft.

Crews have the chance to do something that his LSU teammate Paul Skenes did: have an outstanding rookie season. Skenes won NL Rookie of the Year and made the All-Star team as well.

I was 119 at-bats last season; Crews batted .219 with three home runs and 26 hits. The Nationals have a lot of young talent. We could see a team that could make some noise in the future in the NL East division as they did in 2012, during the beginning of the Bryce Harper era.

Crews is the face of the franchise. Based on his Spring Training performance, he looks comfortable and ready to compete in the big leagues.

In 13 at-bats, Crews is batting .462 with 3 RBIs, two stolen bases, and a 1.148 OPS in Spring Training.

Nationals will play the St Louis Cardinals on Tuesday at 1pm. Regarding the regular season, the Nationals begin at home against the Philadelphia Phillies on March 27th.

In the meantime, Crews must continue to do the right things on and off the field during Spring Training and carry the momentum into the regular season.
