Tampa Bay Rays top prospect Carson Williams is going to the show.

The 22-year-old shortstop got the call, and the organization is excited to see what the kid can do in the big leagues. Williams is ranked as the No. 24 prospect in baseball. He is a talented fielder and hitter.

Here’s what to know about Williams:

Williams was the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 MLB Draft. He was born and raised in San Diego, California, and attended Torrey Pines. Williams has a lot of talent, but he needs to reduce his strikeout numbers.

In 2025, in the minors, he hit .213 with 23 home runs, 55 RBIs, and 83 hits in 389 at-bats. He will have to make adjustments to be disciplined and consistent at the plate as he slowly develops into a great player.

The Rays know how to develop talented prospects. Therefore, we strongly believe that he’s in good hands. His MLB debut is still to be determined, but it will happen before the season ends.
