Warner Bros Discovery is saying “no way, Jose” to Paramount. The latest news is that Paramount’s initial bid for the home of HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery was denied.
David Ellisson, the CEO of Paramount, has expressed his desire and passion for Warner Bros. Discovery and has had private conversations with many influential people in Hollywood. However, he’s going to do a little more and come up with a different strategy to secure Warner Bros.
David Zaslav is the CEO of Warner Bros. He has his own ideas on what he wants to do with the company going forward. Ellisson and Zaslav will need to sort out some things, or Ellisson might consider other streaming platforms to find a solution to the problem.
Ellisson wants to have Warner Bros. before Zaslav can execute his other big strategy: a split of the company into two, with HBO and Warner Bros. Studios in one business.
